Welcome to the team DJ Lulu

Until recently we’ve always used the line “meet the men behind the microphone”, but no more. Bringing with her years of DJ experience (on and off land), Lulu is the newest member of our lead DJ team and we’ve asked her to answer some questions so you can get to know her better.

How did you get started as a DJ?

I started my DJ career in such an amazing way: travelling the world as an entertainment officer and DJ for a British cruise ship brand. I ran the entertainment department, DJ’d every event on the boat and hosted my own radio show. 

Where have you worked?

The great thing about DJing on the sea, was that it gave me the chance to expand my DJ performance skills and MC abilities. I also got to know a range of music. Since that time, I’ve been working a range of private events in Canada, like weddings and corporate events.

Also, what most people don’t know is that I’m also an Ontario Certified Teacher!

Why do you love being a DJ?

So, when teaching kindergarten I’m always reminded of how fun and exciting life can be. I love instilling that same sense of joy at the events I perform at. Making people happy by creating lasting memories is my favourite part of an event. 

Who is your favourite music artist? 

Madonna and Michael Jackson are the king and queen. 

What song request gets you super excited?

“Run the World (Girls)”. Us ladies get so amped when it comes on – especially at a wedding.

What’s something else we should know about you?

Though I now live in Canada, I was born and raised in England.
